John chpt 4:4-6. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the SPIRIT OF TRUTH and the spirit of falsehood. To me this talking about Soul healing but that is just my interpretation. Could be different in meaning.

The KJV: 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
I have no idea what it's speaking about Wes, and the translations or versions of the Bible are always so different. And it's easy to read into it what you want to see - that's how I see it, trying to make it stretch and fit what one wants it to say. Whenever the Bible comes up as in quotes from it, I go blank, I can't concentrate enough on reading the words to try and make any sense of them. I've never been able to, unlike other people who seem to get so much out of it. My mind just goes to fog. So I don't bother with it. I can't bother with it even if I wanted to. So I'm afraid I can't be of much use in such a thread. Does reading it give rise to any feelings for you? Or do you feel anything about it, and the Bible in particular? Do you get anything out of it?
