An interesting article posted on Zero Hedge because for me it illustrates how removed some people are from their true selves. It's not that we're all meant to have sex all the time, but it's sad that so many people feel scared of intimate relationships preferring to hide away in their own fantasies. I can relate to this as my parents scared me so much preventing me from having normal emotionally secure and intimate relationships with them, so I too preferred to go off into my fantasies rather than try and connect and engage in life. My healing has revealed to me so many fantasies I've had, and just how much I have lived withdrawn hiding in my mind because I'm so scared of other people and life.
"Japan's under-40s appear to be losing interest in conventional relationships. Millions aren't even dating, and increasing numbers can't be bothered with sex. For their government, "celibacy syndrome" is part of a looming national catastrophe. Japan already has one of the world's lowest birth rates. As The Guardian reports, 45% of Japanese women aged 16-24 are "not interested in or despise sexual contact". More than a quarter of men feel the same way. Is Japan providing a glimpse of all our futures?"
